Screen Printing
Screen printing is the most commonly used shirt printing technique, as it allows many shirts to be printing at a relatively low price. Unlike sublimation, screen printing is limited on the amount of colors that can be printed on to the shirt. On a small printing press there can only be six different colors per location on a giving shirt, on larger printing presses there can be up to 12-15 different colors.
Because shirts are printed on a printing press during screen printing, shirts can be printing much faster than if they were done though embroidery or sublimation. For this reason large orders of shirts through screen printing can me be cheaper per shirt, then small orders of shirts. Pricing on shirts is based upon the number of locations of print on the shirt and the number of colors printed on the shirt.
